Zombie Halloween Make-up Tips

-TIPS ON HOW TO RECREATE THIS LOOK-

  1. When applying the base make-up, don't make it too white because it will make the look quite flat and more ghostlike. You will want to mix a slight bit of green, grey and yellow to your pale white base to create a skin discolouration effect and makes the zombie appearance more realistic. This is because it creates the illusion of a decayed skin that been eating away at itself.
  2. Make the eyes and lips very dark using a black colour. This can either be a shadow or cream base. The eyes and lips have the thinnest amount of skin and these are the places that will decay fastest and go black.
  3. You will want to give the skin some texture to it to show the different layers and which are more decayed then others. It will create a peeling look and show all the dead skin decaying. To do this, buy a latest glue and with a brush apply small amounts of the face. Let it dry and then with a pair of tweezers, just gently pull the glue to create dead skin on the face.
  4. To create scars and wounds, do the same as above with the latex glue, but in a much larger quantity. Wait till its dry and then pull the glue with your tweezers, making a hole in the centre. Then fill this with a red cream to give the effect of blood, but a dark red. A bright red would make the wound look fresh and with zombies that are dead, that isn't the case. Also add a bit of black shadow around the wound to create the look of decayed, dead skin.
  5. Also remember to contour your eyes with a black shadow to make them hollow and sunken, also contour the cheeks to give the same effect and the neck to again reinforce the decaying process and make your zombie look more real.
I hope you have enjoyed these tips and have fun recreating this look.
